Top 5 Film & Television Apps on iOS in Algeria: Q2 2023

In Q2 2023, the top five film and television apps on the iOS platform in Algeria showcased diverse trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance, as per data from Sensor Tower.

Netflix experienced notable dynamics in its metrics. Weekly revenue peaked at $242 in mid-April, with another significant rise to $201 in mid-May. Weekly downloads saw a gradual increase, reaching a high of approximately 3.2K by the end of June. Active users also grew steadily, starting at around 32.7K at the end of March and climbing to nearly 39.4K by the end of the quarter.

HiTV - Massive Video Library saw significant growth in weekly downloads, jumping from 986 at the end of March to an impressive 5.3K by mid-June. Active users mirrored this trend, increasing from 3.6K to over 12.2K by the end of June. However, the app did not generate any revenue during this period.

HBox Movies & Shows maintained a steady increase in weekly downloads, peaking at 2.1K in mid-June. Active users also showed a consistent upward trend, rising from 4.2K at the end of March to 6.4K by the end of June. Similar to HiTV, this app did not generate any revenue in Q2.

Egybest : Movies, Tv Show also reported steady growth in weekly downloads, culminating at approximately 1.7K in mid-June. Active users saw an increase from 16.7K to 22.6K over the quarter. Like the previous apps, Egybest did not generate revenue during this period.

Shahid - ﺷﺎﻫﺪ from MBC Group showed a varied performance. Weekly revenue peaked at $438 in early April and saw another spike at $411 at the beginning of May. However, weekly downloads fluctuated, starting at 1.6K at the end of March and ending at 831 by late June. Active users experienced some decline but stabilized around 4.8K by the end of the quarter.
